Bellegris
In 2006 Sarah graduated fashion design studies with high distinction whilst working as a designer for a major Australian female fashion label.
Sarah then launched her own label Bellegris in Sydney NSW, to great reviews and landed designs on the pages of UK fashion magazine Fused.
Early 2008 Sarah made the move to Brisbane, QLD designing for another major Australian youth street/skate/surf retailer. After entering a design into Sydney Turf Club / Myer National Young Designer Awards, Sarah Doblo won & was named official fashion designer of 2009’s Golden Slipper Autumn Racing Festival. Of the 10 talented finalists, Sarah won for her interpretation of quintessential Australian race wear; her garment crossing a 1940’s look with contemporary fashion.
2009 is shaping up to be a very exciting year for the designer, recently having the opportunity to design a dress for Kate Ritchie to wear to the launch of the 2009 Golden Slipper Festival at Sydney’s Opera House and landing her design in the ‘best dressed’ pages of Ok Magazine. Sarah is now currently working on her Autumn/Winter 2010 range.
